Key West Literary Seminar

Pico Iyer On Jet Travel

| | Comments (0) |
AIPLANE SAD FACE.jpgFor those of you dreading your flight down to Key West for the Seminar in January, take heart from two things: 1. the knowledge that the  Key West International Airport is small, easy and very friendly and B. these words from Lit Sem Alum Pico Iyer ('06) on modern travel:

"This holiday season we're going to hear endless stories of travel nightmares from our families, friends and the press. So I'll start with a contrarian statement: Air travel is in fact as comfortable and reasonable today as it's ever been."

Read his entire cheering piece at the New York Times site.
