Adventure, Travel, and Discovery - January 2006 Key West Literary Seminar

Linda Greenlaw
Linda Greenlaw has been a deep-sea fisherman for 18 years, becoming the first and only female swordfish captain in the Grand Banks Fleet. She was raised in Maine and graduated from Colby College. Greenlaw now lives on Isle au Haut, Maine, where she captains a lobster boat.

Linda Greenlaw has been selected as the winner of the 2004 New England Booksellers Award. The purpose of the award is to honor an author whose body of work stands as a contribution to New England. Nominations are solicited from more than 800 New England bookstores and publishers. A committee of booksellers, appointed by the New England Booksellers Association, selects the winners. Bookstores throughout New England feature the works of the winners. Previous winners include Wally Lamb, Anita Shreve, and Jamaica Kincaid.
