Stories, Essays & Other Briefs

the 34th annual Key West Literary Seminar
January 7–10, 2016

Each year the Key West Literary Seminar explores a unique literary theme. Readers from all over the world join the best writers of our time for the talks, lectures, conversations, interviews, and events that make up today’s smartest and most high-spirited literary gathering.

Our 34th Seminar—“SHORTS: Stories, Essays, and Other Briefs”—brings together some of the most dynamic voices in contemporary letters for a weekend-long examination and celebration of literary short forms. Confirmed panelists are listed below—click through for full biographical details and suggested reading.

Following an extraordinary early response, registration for the 2016 Seminar is closed. However, a limited number of spaces are still available to teachers and librarians who qualify for our Scholarship Program. Additionally, the afternoon program on Sunday, January 10, will be free and open to the public, first-come, first-seated. A number of spaces remain open in our Writers' Workshop Program.

The 2017 Seminar will be announced in January 2016 and registration will open on February 1.

Note: While all panelists are confirmed at the time of posting, changes to the roster may be made at any time due to circumstances beyond our control.
