Revealing Power

The Literature of Politics

the 35th annual Key West Literary Seminar
January 12–15, 2017

“Although the cliché says that power always corrupts, what is seldom said, but what is equally true, is that power always reveals.” That’s Robert Caro, perhaps the most celebrated biographer of our time, and the confirmed keynote speaker for the 2017 Key West Literary Seminar: “Revealing Power: The Literature of Politics.”

“Revealing Power” will be a singular literary exploration of power—of those who wield it, those who suffer under it, and those who seek to attain it—and of what power reveals about the human condition. Confirmed speakers are listed below.

After an extraordinary response, registration for the the 2017 Seminar is now closed.

We regret to note that Francisco Goldman and Eugene Robinson will not be able to join us as planned.
