The Fine Print

1. Registration fee must be paid in full at all gift levels in order to attend the Seminar and/or Writers’ Workshop Program.
2. Calendar: Benefits remain in effect for 12 months after gift is received or until the benefit has been used once, whichever takes place first.
3. Patrons Dinner: All Patrons who give $250 or more are invited to our annual Patrons Dinner, typically held on Saturday night during the Seminar.
4. Patrons Only Registration: Donors of $1000 or more are invited to register early for the Seminar, during a special three-day period, one week before general registration. “Patrons Only” registrations must be paid for in full (refundable until June 30) and will be limited to two per $1000 gift. No special privileges extended after close of the three-day period.
5. Reserved Seating: Patrons at the $5,000 level who are registered for the Seminar may reserve two seats of their choice throughout the Seminar. Reserved seat arrangements must be made prior to the keynote address. Reserved seats that are unoccupied when a session begins may be given away to general audience members at the discretion of KWLS staff.
6. Guaranteed Admission: Patrons at the $5,000 level may register two people for the Seminar, even if it is sold out, at any time. Alternately, Patrons at this level may enroll in a workshop, even if it is full, at any time prior to September 1. Normal registration fees and Workshop application requirements still apply.
7. Writers & Directors Events: In addition to the main Seminar program, we host a series of more private receptions and opportunities for our visiting writers and other distinguished guests. Patrons at the $5,000 level will receive an invitation for two to one of these “Writers & Directors” events, which typically include an opening and a closing cocktail party, and a morning sail around Key West Harbor. Patrons at the $10,000 level will be invited to all of these events, as well as our annual Writers & Directors dinner, held on the eve of the Seminar.
